Hello! I am your Host, Chris Armstrong.

Born in Okeechobee, FL and raised in Indiantown, I am a product of good choices despite obstacles and hardship. One of the great choices I made was to join the U.S. Army after graduating South Fork High School in Stuart, FL. I didn’t join to serve at first. There was no burning desire there to fight. I joined to get me out of there. Throughout basic training at Fort Benning, GA and then the 9/11 attacks, I gained that duty and willingness to serve. It really was an honor to be what the country needed me to be.

Due to injuries incurred overseas, I was medically retired at 15 years of service. While it was not my choice, the military, the VA, and our country took care of me and did not leave me hanging. I can’t ask for more than that. Once home I attended Indian River State College and started my pursuit of a post-secondary education. With the help of an outstanding Faculty, and a little luck, I was able to graduate with both an A.A. and a B.S. in IT Management and Cybersecurity. Employment opportunities presented themselves at the school however, and I chose to take advantage of it. I now work with Military and Veteran Students at my Alma Mater, and I intend on providing the absolute best service possible. Until the next chapter….

Respectfully,

Chris
